Before Experiment

When you first launch TQT Nuclei, you will be greeted by a pop-up window with basic instructions on how to navigate and use the application. This quick guide will introduce you to the main interface features and controls. After reviewing the information, click Get Started button to begin your session.

Magnet Warm-Up

Before using the software, ensure that your NMR device has warmed up to the correct operating temperature. On average, the warm-up process takes about 1-2 hours after the device is powered on, depending on the environment and magnet type.

In the Temperature component, located in the upper-left corner of the main screen, you will find the following indicators:

  • T-set: Displays the target magnet temperature, which you can manually input based on your experimental setup.

  • T-cur: Shows the current temperature of the magnet, updated in real-time.

Monitoring Temperature

The process of the magnet reaching its target temperature is visualized through a round indicator in the Temperature component:

  • Flashing Yellow: Indicates the magnet is still in the heating phase, and the temperature is rising toward the set point.

  • Solid Green: Indicates that the current temperature (T_cur) has matched the target temperature (T_set) and the system is ready for use.

  • Solid Red: Signals either an overheating issue or an error in the temperature reading circuit. If this occurs, check your device and contact support if necessary.

By waiting for the magnet to reach its operating temperature (solid green indicator), you ensure accurate and reliable measurements for your NMR experiments.
